This beautifully preserved chained NSKK Dagger features a factory bright steel blade bearing the etched motto "Alles für Deutschland" (Everything/All for Germany) along the obverse, as well as the RZM logo and makers code of "M7/66" for the firm of "Carl Eickhorn" on the reverse. The beautiful factory cross-graining has been very well preserved and can be clearly seen from guard to tip. With the exceptions of a few very superficial light marks on the blade, it remains in nearly the same state as when it left the factory. The upper and lower cross guards retain nearly all of their original factory nickel plating with extremely minimal scattered bubbling. The brown rosewood grip features an inlaid nickel silver grip eagle and enameled SA roundel. The grip retains nearly all of its original factory brown finish and protective lacquering with only a few minor marks and a very small area of light wear on the grips reverse. The black painted steel scabbard is also in near factory condition. The scabbard body retains nearly all of its original black factory paint, with only a few areas with minor marks. The scabbards throat, center band, and drag fittings have retained nearly all of their factory nickel plating. The scabbard screws appear to remain in an untouched state. The nickel plated steel NSKK chain retains nearly all of its factory nickel plating. All of the original link rings are original and intact. The reverse of the chain is maker marked with the RZM code of "M5/6" for the firm of "Schaeffer-Homberg". The chain is complete with a black leather belt loop, which still retains all of its original black polish. This is an excellent opportunity to own a beautiful Chained NSKK Dagger in a condition which would be difficult to upgrade. CONDITION: Excellent plus. D.W.
