This M36 chained SS Dagger features steel blade with a Böker maker mark. The blade appears to have been lightly cleaned at some time and has taken on a slight grey appearance with light factory cross-graining still being visible. The blades motto "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue" retains most of its original factory darkening. The dagger's upper and lower solid nickel silver cross-guards have developed a nice even patina throughout. The reverse of the lower cross-guard is district stamped "I" for Munich. The black ebony grip features a nickel silver inlaid eagle and enameled SS roundel. The black anodized scabbard retains most of its black anodizing with remnants of the original protective lacquering. The scabbards fittings are nickel plated steel with light patina and areas of scattered light marks. The steel nickel plated chain shows light wear and patina throughout with some freckling on the wonton knot area. The reverse of the chain is marked with the SS runic stamp. It is possible the lower chain links have been repaired at some time. A nice example of a desirable M36 Chained SS Dagger. CONDITION: Very good. D.W.
