Lot contains: (A) SA dagger with a "RZM, M7/49" marked steel blade with moderate to heavy scattered marks and freckling throughout. Blade appears to have been crudely resharpened. Nickel-plated fittings retain 90+% of their plating, with scattered marks and freckling. Rosewood grip is very good to excellent with a one inch gouge on the side, and a couple of other dents. SA emblem is good and eagle is very good, and both are original to the grip. Steel scabbard retains 90-95% of its original brown painted finish with dullness and light scratches and crazing. Plated nickel steel fittings have a nice age patina throughout. Original hangar is attached with heavy wear and damage. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. (B) Early SA dagger with a later scabbard. Blade is excellent plus and marked "MALSCH & AMBRONN" and exhibits full cross graining, with light to runner and scattered marks. Solid nickel fittings have a nice age patina, and the SA Gruppe marking of "Sa" (Sachsen) is present on the cross-guard. Rosewood grip is excellent with light dings and scratches. SA emblem and eagle are original to the grip and in excellent condition. Later steel scabbard retains 95+% of its original brown finish with very light scattered marks. Scabbard has one tiny 1/8" dent. Plated nickel steel fittings are excellent plus. CONDITION: Overall excellent to excellent plus. WZ
