The steel blade of this M33 SS Dagger is maker marked for the firm of Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen. Blade exhibits and even greying throughout, light runner marks, with light traces of the factory cross-graining visible. The upper and lower cross-guards are nickel silver with a light even patina throughout, and appear to possibly have been cleaned at some point. The black ebony grip has taken on a dull appearance, and may have possibly been redarkened. The grip eagle and SS roundel have been reattached to the grip with an adhesive. The scabbard body has been heavily cleaned leaving only remnants of the black finish. The scabbards fittings are nickel silver with an even patina. An original vertical hanger, with reproduction replacement strap, is attached to the scabbard. CONDITION: Good to very good. D.W.
