Lot contains: (A) Third Reich police bayonet with a "P.D. LUNESCHLOSS" marked nickel-plated steel blade, which has been cut down from an Imperial German police bayonet. Blade has very light scattered marks with light freckling to approximately 10%, near the tip. Nickel-plated brass fittings are excellent, with the police unit marking of "S.D.IV.568." present. Stag grips are undamaged with an aluminum Polizei emblem present. Black leather scabbard has light wear and has been damaged from bending, and the nickel-plated fittings retain 90-95% of their finish with scattered marks, and the lower fitting has several dents. Throat screw is missing. There is a matching unit marking of "S.D.IV.568" on the upper fitting. Black leather scabbard with steel rivets and dated "1942" is attached with light wear.
