A nicely preserved Imperial Kriegsmarine Dagger. The steel blade is nickel plated with the early Imperial logo of the firm "Carl Eickhorn". The blade features acid etched motifs on both sides, with minimal runner marks showing. The cross-guard is made of a gilded brass base metal, and features a central anchor motif. The cross-guard's tension button is intact and functions properly. The grip is made of an off white trylon, which has been wrapped with a double wound brass wire. The grip shows minor wear to the high points. The gilded brass pommel is in the design of the Imperial crown with cutout arches. The scabbard body is made of gilded brass with decorative engravings throughout. Approximately 50% of the original gilding remains on the scabbard. No dents are observed on the scabbard and the throat screws appear to be untouched. CONDITION: OVERALL EXCELLENT. D.W.
