GERMAN THIRD REICH SA/SS STANDARD BEARERS GORGET

This German Third Reich SA/SS Gorget is made of a nickel plated brass base metal with a separately attached starburst and SA Roundel featuring the early pattern sun wheel swastika. The gorget does not appear to have been cleaned and has developed a beautiful even patina throughout, with more prominent buildup near the recesses. The reverse of the gorget is covered with a fine black wool fabric. The two nickel silver hanger clips, as well as the chain retention clip, are intact and not repaired. A full length linked nickel silver chain appears be originally attached to the chain retention clip. CONDITION: Excellent. D.W.
