Manufactured 1951 as per serial number. Classic configuration with pinned smooth front sight, full serrated sighting rib, adjustable square notch rear sight. Pinned barrel. Case colored hammer and trigger. Grips with checkered panels and silver S&W medallions. Serrated front and back straps. Housed in correct S&W K-22 gold box with handwritten identifying information including serial number. Accessories include cleaning rod with mop, brush, and screwdriver. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the factory blue with barrel pluming. Some minor marks from handling and operation. Case colors are starting to fade somewhat but are still present. Cylinder with a minor turn line. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Accessories are very good, box is intact with normal rubbing and chipping expected of age. EW
