Very rare tin litho wind-up Little Max Speshul Comet toy with original box. Joe Palooka Little Max pushing tin litho box with Joe Palooka lithographed on box. Includes exceedingly rare original box, which is complete except for top flap. Great color graphics, made by Sal Metal Products, Brooklyn New York. From the comic character strip created by Ham Fisher which debuted in 1930, depicting Joe Palooka as the reigning real-life boxing champion. Max was his mute orphan sidekick, and this might be the only toy made of Little Max. Some minor scratching and wear throughout toy, box has some creasing and missing top flap.
