Manufactured 1918. Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. "H" at top of firing pin retaining plate channel. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony. Right side with "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Top of barrel with "P / H", oriented to read with the muzzle up. Left side of barrel lug with "D", "5" in front of lug, "7" on right side of lug. Early milled relief cut slide release, thick tab safety, spurred checkered hammer, short 1911 grip safety. Long milled trigger, checkered magazine release, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Truncated diamond walnut stocks. Appropriate JMG proof. Dual pinned base magazine. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the Colt brushed blue finish, with some handling and operation marks throughout. Light silvering and muzzle and slightly more pronounced losses at dust cover consistent with holster wear. One small area of silver on right side of frame next to serial number. Trigger with losses. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good with some frosting at throat. EW
