Lot consists of: (A) Unmarked Imperial German M98/05 serrated sawback bayonet complete with its original metal scabbard. CONDITION: The blade remains bright but exhibits scattered freckling and blemishes with light pitting. The hilt has a nice set of original grooved wood grips which are a nice aged brown color. The grips display some scratches and wear. Pommel exhibits pitting. The steel scabbard has lost most of its blued finish and exhibits pitting, blemishes, and small dents. Overall good. (B) Imperial German M98/05 serrated sawback bayonet marked "CTTO" on the ricasso complete with its original metal scabbard. CONDITION: The blade remains bright but exhibits scattered blemishes. The hilt has a nice set of original grooved wood grips which have turned dark brown with age. The grips display wear and a few dents. Pommel exhibits pitting. The steel scabbard retains some of its blued finish and exhibits moderate pitting and blemishes. Overall good. (C) Imperial German M98/05 bayonet marked "Weyersberg / Kirschbaum / & Cie / Solingen" on the ricasso complete with its original metal scabbard. Dated 1918 on the spine. CONDITION: The blade remains bright but exhibits scattered blemishes. The hilt has a nice set of original grooved wood grips which have turned dark brown with age. The grips display wear and a few small dents. Pommel exhibits pitting. The steel scabbard retains most of its blued finish and exhibits heavy pitting in areas. Overall good. (D) Imperial German M98/05 bayonet marked "Carl Eickhorn / Solingen" on the ricasso complete with its original metal scabbard. Dated 1917 on the spine. CONDITION: The blade remains bright and is very clean. The hilt has a nice set of original grooved wood grips which have turned dark brown with age. The grips exhibit moderate wear. Pommel exhibits pitting. The steel scabbard retains some of its blued finish and exhibits scattered pitting and blemishes. Overall very good. JLD
