Smith & Wesson second model single action "Baby Russian" revolver. Manufactured from 1877-1891, with approximately 108,225 produced. 3 - 1/4" barrel with full length fluted rib. Pinned, full radius, blued blade front sight. Chambered in .38 S&W cartridge. 5 shot fluted cylinder. Spur trigger. Nickel with case hardened hammer and blued trigger. Backstrap is period inscribed "DR. V. McNALLY TO SAM'L MADDOX". 2 piece checkered, black hard rubber grips with S&W logo. Housed in a period walnut dealers case with block for 36-.38 S&W cartridges. Matching serial numbers observed on frame, cylinder, and barrel. CONDITION: Excellent with 97% bright original nickel overall. Scattered light scratches on frame and cylinder. Grips are excellent, showing little wear. Bore is bright and clean. Action is tight. Missing grip screw. Walnut dealers case is in excellent condition with light scratches and mars overall. Interior shows moderate soiling.
