1901 vintage Winchester Model 1894 rifle, serial number 2303350. Special ordered takedown frame. 26" round barrel with full length magazine tube. Chambered in .30 WCF. Special ordered fold down 3-leaf rear barrel sight and standard blade front sight. Blue with with case hardened lever, hammer, and rifle style buttplate. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Accompanying Cody Museum letter dated September 26, 2018, documents configuration and warehouse receipt on September 13, 1904 with shipment from warehouse on September 17, 1904 to order number T113897. CONDITION: Approaching "benchmark" quality with most all the original bright blue remaining overall. Bright, unmolested "peacock" blue on loading gate. Strong original case colors on the lever and hammer. Buttplate turning a dove grey patina. Wood is excellent plus showing light wear. Bore is bright and clean. Action is tight and crisp. Most handsome Winchester Model 1894 that would be very hard to improve on. -MKS-
