Lot consists of: (A) Model 1819 Flint lock smoothbore martial pistol made by Simeon North in Middleton, Connecticut in 1822. Steel smoothbore barrel with hinged cleaning rod, brass front sight and rear dished tang sight with "J","P" and "US" markings. Flint lock with brass pan and safety slide dated "1822" and "S. North" over U.S. Eagle over "Midltn, Conn." Walnut stock with illegible cartouche and iron hardware. CONDITION: Overall aged patina with usage marks and dings. Dark bore with good mechanics. (B) U.S. Model 1842 martial pistol marked "H. Aston" and dated "1851". Steel smoothbore barrel with hinged cleaning rod and brass blade front sight with barrel marked with "U.S." over "W.N." over "P". Percussion lock marked "U.S. over H. Aston" with rear marked "Middltn Conn 1851". Walnut stock with brass hardware with "WN" and illegible cartouche in ovals on left side. CONDITION: Overall good aged appearance with some light usage marks and dings. Dark bore with good mechanics. DLM
