Model 60 (no dash) Chief special with serrated ramp front sight and notch rear sight. Checkered hammer, serrated trigger, smooth ivory grips with silver S&W medallions. Gun has approximately half coverage of reasonably well cut acanthus scroll on a punch dot background. Accompanied by correct 2 piece blue S&W box indicating features and identifying gun by serial number and containing S&W wax paper, paperwork, and cleaning rod with brush. Ivory grips are eye catching contemporary grips as produced by Austin Originals, including letter guaranteeing that they are pre-1989 import and dated 2012. CONDITION: Fine, retaining the vast majority of the stainless finish with some minor scratches visible from handling and operation. Cylinder has a definitive turn line but has little carbon buildup on face. Ivory grips are excellent with strong grain and good color with right scale having several very fine black cracks, not uncommon with old ivory. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent, bright and shiny, with strong rifling. A really nice example in the box! EW
