German Erma DSM-34 bolt action training rifle. Made mid-1930s by Erma. Caliber marked on the left side of the barrel, followed by the serial number. Left side of the receiver is marked "ERMA-Gmbh-Abt-GEWEHRFABRIK-ERFURT". Erma logo marked on the crest of the receiver. "DEUTSCHES SPORTMODELL" marked on the right side of the receiver. "BEV" marked on the receiver bridge. Pre-War proofs on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. No import mark. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, receiver and bolt. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and rear sight adjustable to 200 meters. Original finish on the metal components, minus the bolt, which has some touched up cold blue. Full wood stock with a smooth metal buttplate. Metal sling peg is absent. Right side of the bolt has disassembly disk broken off. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with wear and handling marks. There is some light freckling on the left side of the barrel. Wood has handling marks, dents and scratches. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
