BSW DSM-34 bolt action training rifle. Made mid-1930s by BSW, formally known as Simson. Caliber markings on the barrel, followed by the serial number. Chamber is marked "BSW / Suhl". Right side of the receiver is marked "Deutsches Sportmodell" in gothic script. NSSK Motor training cartouche on the right side of the stock. Commercial pre-War proofs on the barrel, receiver and bolt. No import mark found. Matching serials on the barrel and bolt. 26" barrel with blade front sight and rear sight adjustable to 200 meters. Original finish on the metal components. Duffle cut wood stock, lacking barrel bands and handguard. Smooth metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with some patina forming. There is Wood has handling marks, scratches and dents. Very sharp bore with crisp rifling. Safety is missing, other wise mechanically operable. JWA
