C.E. Heinzlemann Model Heim bolt action rifle. Made mid-1930s in Germany. Left side of the receiver is marked "C.E. HEINZLEMANN PLOCHINGEN A.N./MODEL HEIM.PATENT-a". Right side of the stock is marked "W.KIELBLOCK/ALTONA" in a circle, with "K.K.S." in the center. Pre-War German proofs on the barrel, bolt, and receiver. No import marks found. Matching serials on the receiver, safety and bolt. Bolt components match as well. Round steel barrel with cut down blade front sight and rear sight adjustable to 200 meters. Original finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stock with checkering on the wrist and finger groove on the forearm. Smooth metal buttplate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with some wear and patina. There is some splotches of surface rust on the left side of the barrel. Wood has handling marks, dents and scratches. The stock was cracked severely at the wrist and then glued back together. Bore has sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
