Mauser ES-340N bolt action sporting rifle. Made pre-War with proofs on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. Mauser logo on the top of the grooved receiver. Company logo is also on the butt plate. Crisp Mauser cartouche on the right side of the stock, next to a stamped "SA". No import marks. Matching serials on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. Round steel barrel with blade front sight. Rear sight is absent. Original finish on the metal components. Bolt has been refinished. Wood sporter style stock with smooth metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with light wear and scratches. There is a splotch of surface rust forming on the muzzle. Wood has some finish wear, with some dents and scratches. There is a crack on the right side of the stock, staring in the bolt relief cut. Bore is clean with very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
