Anschutz KDF 4mm training bolt action rifle. Made late 1930s and sold under the KDF (Kraft durch Freude) program that sponsored leisure activates in Germany. These were mainly used indoors at 10 meters, much like gallery guns. Barrel is marked "Wehrmanngewwhr Kal 4mm lang" over "J-G-A" Germaniawaffenwerk A G Zella-Mehlis/Thur". Swastika/sunburst crest on the receiver over "EIGENTUM DES SPORTAMTES". Receiver is marked "Buscher Sportmodell/Kraft durch Freude". Matching serials on the barrel and receiver. No markings on the stock. 26" barrel with blade front sight and rear sight adjustable to 50 meters. Original finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stock with smooth metal butt plate. Leather sling attached looks to be post-War, possibly Yugoslavian. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with light wear and scratches. Wood has a few scratches and dents. Good overall bore. Sling has some wear and crazing. JWA
