1884 vintage Colt Single Action Army, serial number 104627. 4 - 3/4" round barrel chambered in .45 Colt with 2 line barrel address. "Black powder frame" with matching serial numbers observed on butt, trigger guard, and frame. Custom engraved and silver plated with scrolls covering about 75% of the gun with wolf's head motif on hammer. Engraver and date of engraving unknown. 2 piece reproduction bone grips featuring hand carved steer's head on right side. CONDITION: Very good with areas of silver tarnish throughout. Engraving is sharp. 2 piece grips are ill fitting but are strong with no major signs of distress. Action needs some attention as cylinder does not stay locked when hammer is fully cocked. Bore is good with moderate abrasion and darkness in the grooves with sharp rifling. TON
