Lot consists of (A) S&W No. 2 revolver with half moon front sight, notch rear sight. Fire blued small parts. Smooth walnut grips. Frame, cylinder, and barrel have been contemporarily engraved by W.B. Ellis in an acanthus and floral leaf pattern, signed under barrel. Housed in an appropriate box partitioned for gun and accessories, including ammo block for 16 rounds. CONDITION: Excellent as contemporarily restored and embellished. Gun is essentially a smooth storm grey throughout with crisp engraving, with some blue visible on barrel assembly. Small parts are very good with loss of fire blue on ejector pin. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good with visible rifling and pitting throughout. (B) S&W No. 1 with half moon front sight, notch rear sight. Engraved in acanthus scroll with punched dot background. Mother of Pearl grips. Nickel finish. Housed in an appropriate case partitioned for gun and accessories. CONDITION: Very good, with some scattered darkness throughout, still retaining the majority of nickel. Action works appropriately but stiffly when operated by hand, bore is fair, dark, with pitting. Case is fine. EW
