Lot consists of: (A) Colt Cloverleaf single action revolver with wood case. Made 1871. Company address on the top of the barrel has been mostly obliterated. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and v-notch rear. Barrel and cylinder has been polished to a bright silver color with crude engraving on both. Brass frame and slide plate have been polished and engraved as well. Pearl style grips with gem studs around the edges. Right panel has a carving of a woman. Includes a contemporary wooden case with blue velvet lining and key. 13 rounds of .41 rimfire ammunition is included in the case. Head stamp is "U" on every cartridge. CONDITION: Metal retains none of its original finish, having been heavily cleaned and polished. Grips have wear and handling marks. Bore is heavily frosted with some light pitting. Good overall rifling. Hammer is tight. Cylinder is out of time. Will need adjustment to be fully operational. Case is very good with light handling marks. There is a light crack on the edge of the lid. Ammo is clean. (B) Colt Cloverleaf single action revolver. Made 1871. Top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S HOUSE PISTOL/HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.". Matching serials on the cylinder and butt. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and V-notch rear cut out. Nickel finish on the metal components over a brass frame. Finished wood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its finish with light edge wear and handling marks. Grips have a few dings, scratches, and gouges. Lightly frosted bore with a few minor pits near the chamber. Very good rifling retained. Tight hammer and cylinder. Timing looks to be good. Mechanically fine. JWA
