Factory letter indicates shipment October 15th, 1912, in a shipment of 5 to Wyeth Hardware & Manufacturing Company, St. Joseph, Missouri. Original configuration was .32-20 with 7 – 1/2” barrel length, now 4 – 3/4”. Blade front sight, notch rear sight with top strap. Gun has been contemporarily silver blade with small parts gold washed. Ivory grips are relief carved with an eagle mid flight and a crude facsimile of the rampant Colt medallions. Engraved in approximately C level coverage of acanthus scroll on a punch dot background. CONDITION: Very good as customized. Silver has a little bit of tarnishing, easily cleaned if one desires, with some pitting visible under silver. Some softening to legends as a result of silver plating. Gold wash is very good, with some scattered minor lifting. Grips are very good with no cracks or chips, and a mellow patina. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good with strong rifling and darkness throughout. EW
