Classic configuration with figure 8 trigger that cocks hammer and manipulates cylinder on pull before dropping hammer with trigger. Cone front sight, notch rear sight. Walnut grips. Numerous "H" and "M" subinspector proofs visible through frame, cylinder, and barrel. "6694" on frame under right grip, "R" and "M" under left grip. Left grip has an illegible cartouche on bottom and a hand carved "H F B" towards top. Right grip with hand carved "J H B" towards top. CONDITION: Very good, with metal an even chocolate patina throughout and some dove grey silvering at high edges. Flashes of blue are visible on bottom barrel flat, under rammer. Some silvering at trigger and hammer where the reciprocate into frame. Grips are very good with normal handling marks and some minor chips from age. Carvings and cartouches in wood are a little soft as a result of an age of hand rubbing. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, cock face somewhat peened, bore is very good with visible rifling and some frosting throughout. A nice example. EW
