Remington Type III double derringer pistol. Made 1912-1935. Barrel rib is marked "REMINGTON U.M.C. CO. ILION, N.Y.". "705" marked under the barrel. Blade front sight with a U-notch cut out rear. Original finish worn to a gray patina in areas. Checkered hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with most areas forming an even gray patina. There is a chip out of the bottom of the right grip panel, in addition to a small crack on the top. Otherwise the grips have some worn checkering. Bores are frosted with some areas of pitting. Barrel lockup is fairly tight, with some play. Hammer is tight. JWA
