Classic configuration with 8" round barrel with German silver blade front sight, six shot .44 rebated cylinder, walnut grips. Barrel assembly has been renumbered to match, with "4" being a later strike, and patina not quite matching. Frame has recoil shield and butt cut for a shoulder stock. Small "S" stamp visible behind trigger guard and at top of backstrap. CONDITION: Fair to good. Bore is essentially void of original finish with some flashes of case color visible on rammer and some blue visible on top of barrel. Fine pitting visible throughout moreso on frame and cylinder than barrel assembly. Grips are good, taken down and lightly refinished at some point in the past, with some chips and handling marks throughout. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good with good rifling and pitting throughout. EW
