Barrel stamped "P/ JH" and "M/1813" on left side of tapered round barrel. Flat lockplate with 2 engraved bell flowers at tail and marked "DEWERSON" in center. Classic engraved brass 2-piece sideplate and symmetrical engraved wrist escutcheon with vacant inscription. Unique engraved brass inlay on right side of stock. Walnut stock of attractive form; complete with iron ramrod. CONDITION: Very good overall. Barrel retains a heavy dark brown patina. Lock appears to be in its original flintlock configuration. Brass retains an attractive mustard patina. Stock very good with some scattered marks and minor cracks. An attractive War of 1812 musket. DMG
