U.S Model 1816 Third type musket built by Asa Waters Jr. of Millbury, Massachusetts. Military bright finished round smoothbore barrel with front sight doubling as socket bayonet mounting. Flint lock with detachable brass pan marked with "US" over "A. WATERS" with rear marked "MILLBURY" over "1836". Rear iron buttplate marked on top "US". Walnut stock with military bright finished iron furniture. Comes with iron trumpet head ramrod and reproduction socket style bayonet. CONDITION: Cleaned metal surfaces resembling original finish with cleaned wood with usage dings and marks. Pitted bore with strong mechanics. DLM
