1857 vintage Colt 1851 Navy percussion revolver, serial number 77064. 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .36 caliber rifled with single line Colt New York barrel address. Complete with added front and rear brass sights that have been dovetailed in to the barrel post factory. Frame is cut for 3rd model stock and is in correct serial number range. Matching parts include butt, trigger guard, frame, barrel, and cylinder. 1 piece plain walnut replacement grips with large knot on right side. Comes with reproduction plain walnut 3rd model stock that is also a canteen and is numbered to the gun. CONDITION: Good with virtually all of the original finishes turned a dark gray patina with heavy handling marks throughout. Entire rammer assembly including dovetailed catch lug on bottom of barrel is a replacement. Wedge is a replacement and is ill fitting. Cylinder arbor has been shimmed to stay tight to barrel assembly. Cylinder scene is faint but visible. Replacement 1 piece walnut grips are ill fitting but are very good and retain most of their original finish with handling marks throughout. Hammer will not stay cocked and action is loose. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Stock is overall very good. TON
