Cartridge conversion Colt 1862 Pocket Navy single action revolver with case. Made circa 1863 and later factory upgraded to a cartridge firing revolver. Top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.CO./HARTFORD CT.U.S.A." Left side of the frame is marked "PAT. JULY 25.1871/PAT. JULY 2. 1872". Left side of the trigger guard is marked "38 CAL". Stage coach scene on the cylinder. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and cylinder. Metal areas have been polished. Case colored hammer and trigger. Brass trigger guard and front strap. Scroll engraving on the barrel, frame, and grip straps. Silver Tiffany style grip. Includes oil finished wood box with green velvet interior and a screw driver and cleaning spoon included. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with general wear, polishing and cleaning. Grip has some molting and finish wear as well. Bore is frosted with minor pitting. Very good overall riffling. Tight hammer. Cylinder shows some movement when cocked. Ejector lever is loose. Mechanically operable. Wood has wear, handling marks and scratches. There are multiple cracks on the lid and base. JWA
