Late 1940s-early 1950s Sensenich Model 76JR-53 airplane propeller. Sensenich Propeller Company was established in 1932 with the intent to manufacture fixed pitch wood aircraft propellers for the popular and expanding aviation market. This propeller is crafted from wood featuring a clear lacquer finish with gold painted ends and brass edging. The bottom of the center hub is marked "MODEL 76 JR-53 / SER NO. N8062 / SENSENICH". There are 2 Sensenich decals on each end of the wood blades that read "Sensenich Propellers Lancaster, PA, U.S.A.". The propeller comes with a hand made mount from the previous consigner. CONDITION: The propeller exhibits various scratches and dents but is in overall good condition and presents well. Most of the metal finish has depleted over time and the metal has started to turn green in some areas. This propeller would make for a very nice decorative piece in a home, office, or restaurant and is only recommended for use on aircraft that are a on permanent static display. JLD
