Massive English Fowling piece with East India Trademark circa the late 1700s and early 1800s. Huge 66 - 1/2" round smoothbore with notch for front sight (missing) and illegible marks at breech with rings around breech. Beveled flint lock with date of 1787 and East India logo of "4" above a sectioned heart with "E" and "I" and "C" in the sections. Walnut full stock with brass hardware and nosecap with steel ramrod. CONDITION: Pitted metal surfaces with aged look with brass having old cleaned look with smashed entry pipe and missing second pipe. Wood has aged dark oil soaked finish with repairs at toe and on trigger guard and some replaced wood along forestock. Dark bore with strong mechanics. Rough but interesting gun. DLM
