Browning Model 1886 lever action rifle with box. Grade I gun, made 1980s in Japan. Right side of the barrel is marked "BROWNING MODEL 1886 CALIBER .45-70 GOVT", while the left side of the barrel reads "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN. UTAH 8 MONTREAL P.Q./ MADE IN JAPAN". "NP" proof on the right side of the chamber. Octagon steel barrel with blade front sight and buckhorn rear. Factory matte blued finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stocks with a crescent metal but plate. Includes matching factory box, and shipping box as well. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% or more of its original finish with a few handling marks. Wood is excellent as well. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. looks to be unfired from the factory. Box is excellent. JWA
