Built in 1919 on a 1 1/2 size frame. The 26" blued steel barrels with dolls head rib extension and 2 – 1/2" chambers is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A.” and "ACME. STEEL." with pointing arrows at each end and fitted with a brass bead front sight and ejectors. The chokes are modified (left) and skeet (right). The breech end of the barrels have scroll engraved panels and the muzzle ends are lightly engraved with a geometric shape in a band. Barrel flats are stamped with all correct markings. The barrels are fitted with reinforced forend loop. The water table of the case hardened action is marked with 5-line patent date information on the right side and “AH” over the serial number and “6” on the left side. The action features a non-automatic checkered slide safety and a Miller single trigger with selector. The inside surface finish of the forend hardware is also case color hardened. The action body is engraved with near full coverage nicely cut varying sized scroll surrounding vignettes of pair of pointers in a field scene on the left, a pointer and spaniel on in field scene on the right. Bottom of action has the initials “L.R.H.” in an oval on stippled ground. Trigger plate is semi-relief engraved of a leaping deer in a woodland scene. "PARKER BROS" is in a rectangle on both sides of action body towards rear. The flat profile trigger guard with scroll and a pointing pointer has serial number on tang. Action is built with single beads around fences. Engraved and case color hardened top lever is checkered on the left side. Select reddish American walnut round knob buttstock which features carved fleur-de-lis checkered side panels, brass oval insert on end of pistol grip, and fine checkering on the pistol grip and forearm. The butt is fitted with a 1” ventilated recoil pad with a leather strip on surface of butt. Matching beavertail ejector forend is near fully checkered with a Deeley style release. Ejector patent date is on iron. Shotgun accompanied by a brown leather travel case (Leg O' Mutton style) with blue lining and an engraved metal rectangle with the initials “LRH” matching the underside of the action body. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 90% blue with some minor marks, dings, and scratches. Action & Forend metal retain 95 - 98% case hardened finish. Bores are shiny. Action is tight on face, ejectors are time well and trigger is crisp to pull. Stock and forend with minor handling/storage marks. Heel edge of leather on butt worn from use. Gun benefits from period restoration of the color case finish and some repair work most likely at the time when the Miller trigger was installed. Case is good. Various scratches on leather surface and leather strap on lid broken. All Parker "A" grades are scarce, with an estimated total of 306 hammerless guns. Good upland game gun from one of America’s premier gunmakers. CP

CORRECTION: Repair work is evident on the left side of the stock near wrist and the rear face of receiver.
