Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. Non-serifed "MODEL OF 1911. U.S.ARMY" on right side of slide, 2 line 2 block patent and address information with August 1914 last date, and Rampant Colt at rear. Barrel with "HS" on right lug, "P" on left. "H" stamped vertically on top of firing pin retaining plate channel. Bordered checkered hammer with thick tab safety, relief milled slide release, short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing, serrated magazine release, long milled trigger. Left side of frame with "(Eagle Head) / S12" and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on dust cover. Grips are Keyes fibre grips with reinforcing rings. CONDITION: Good as refinished, with some softness to legends as a result. Normal scattered marks from handling and storage, and some minor silvering to high edges. Some normal silvering to reciprocating areas. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. EW
