1891 manufactured Winchester Model 1886, serial number 51623. 26" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Chambered in .45-90 W.C.F. Standard sights. Plain trigger. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, hammer, forearm cap, and buttplate. CONDITION: Fair. Barrel and magazine are mainly brown patina with traces of blue. Frame and other components are a nickel color patina with traces of case color and pits. Forend has been sanded. Stock show heavy wear, cracked near the top tang. Sliver of wood also missing at top tang. Bore has visible rifling, frosted and dark. Action is tight and crisp. JTH
