First year production Winchester Model 1894. Blued full-octagon barrel with Winchester patent dates and address in front of sight and caliber marking "32-40" near breech on top flats. Blade front sight with rear adjustable notched sight. Blued full tubular magazine. Blued receiver with case hardened plain trigger and case hardened hammer. Plain walnut stock with crescent steel buttplate. Walnut plain forearm with blued nosecap. CONDITION: 65% original blue softening to a brown patina. Lever has trace amount of case color in protected areas. Wood has traces of varnish with handling marks and dings. Bore has visible rifling. Good mechanics. JTH
