Lot consist of: (A) Savage Model 1899 rifle chambered for the classic .300 Savage caliber. Standard features include a 24" barrel, checkered pistol grip walnut stock, serrated steel buttplate, blued finish, brass cartridge counter, Weaver scope bases, and case colored lever. The barrel retains 99% of bright blue finish. Frame retains 95% of the original high polish blue finish. Lever retains majority of the original case colors. CONDITION: Fine, with scattered pitting on lever and action. Buttplate is heavy pitted and cleaned. Bore is bright, action functions by hand. (B) This model 99E Carbine was made after 1960. The lever action rifle features full round barrel, blued finish, sporting front sight, rear sight, brass cocking indicator, Redfield 1 piece scope base, case colored lever, replacement stocks over a Pachmayr rub pad. CONDITION: 95% original factory blue with muzzle wear and evidence of use. 95% reblue on frame. Nice case colors on sides of lever. Wood is excellent, with some evidence of use. Strong rifling and bright bore. Action functions by hand. JTH
