Top of frame with various subinspector proofs. Frame with "(Eagle) / S11" proof near magazine release and US property rollmark on left side of dust cover. Narrow checkered hammer, thick tab safety, early relief milled slide release, short 1911 grip safety, checkered magazine release, and long milled trigger. Arched knurled mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Fibre grips with thick reinforcement rings. Dual pin base full blue Colt magazine. Housed in cardboard box with serial number hand written on lid and printed shipping label, containing a set of fully checkered walnut grips, DCM sales receipt from Letterkenny Army Depot identifying gun by serial number, Notes on the Model 1903A3 Springfield pamphlet, and tape sealed Frankford Arsenal box of 20 rounds of .45 ACP. CONDITION: Very good as Arsenal parkerized. Normal handling marks throughout, with some buildup of dry oil and cosmoline throughout. Some minor silvering to high edges and reciprocating areas. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with good rifling and thin frosting throughout. Paperwork is very good, with a minimum of distress. Ammo with more distress and clearly opened at one point before being resealed with tape. A neat example of a rare DCM gun with the paperwork. EW
