Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson Model 17-2 double action revolver. Made 1968. Company "S&W" monogram on the right side of the frame, in addition to the company address. Matching serials on the butt and frame. Square butt. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round steel barrel with blade front sight adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled, spurred hammer. Checkered wood grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Right grip panel has a few dents and scratches. Left panel is excellent. Sharp bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Very light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically excellent. (B) Smith & Wesson 10-5 double action revolver with box. Made 1963-65. Company "S&W" monogram on the right side of the frame, in addition to the company address. Matching serials on the butt and frame. Round butt. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and U-notch cutout rear. Factory blued finish. Case colored hammer and trigger. Checkered wood grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. Includes a period blue cardboard box with manual, serial numbered to a different gun. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light handling marks and wear. Grips have wear and handling marks. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Box is excellent. JWA
