Lot consist of: (A) Colt Police Positive Target double action revolver. Made 1910. Left side of the barrel is marked "POLICE/POSITIVE CAL .22 W.R.F.". Top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.CO.HARTFORD.CT.U.S.A./PAT'D AUG.5.1884 JUNE 5.1922 JULY 4. 1905". Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame, and typical "VP" proof on the the top of the trigger guard. Matching serials on the frame and crane. Round steel barrel with adjustable blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Trigger and hammer have remnants of fire blue. Checked brown hard rubber grips. Right panel looks to be a reproduction. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with light finish wear, handling marks, and scratches. Grips are excellent. Lightly frosted bore with very good rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. (B) Colt Army Special double action revolver. Made 1908. Left side of the barrel is marked "COLT ARMY/SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F.". Top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.CO.HARTFORD.CT.U.S.A./PAT'D AUG.5.1884 JUNE 5.1922 JULY 4. 1905". Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame, and typical "VP" proof on the the top of the trigger guard. Matching serials on the frame and crane. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and V-notch cut out rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Fire blue still visible on the trigger and hammer. Checkered hard rubber brown grips marked "COLT". CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with general finish wear, handling marks, and scratches. Grips have a few nicks and scratches. Crisp rifling in the bore. Hammer is tight, cylinder has some side to side movement. Good timing and lockup. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
