Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson Pre Model 24 double action revolver. Made 1955-56. Company trademark on the right side of the frame, in addition to the company address. Square butt frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Matching serials on the butt, barrel, cylinder, and crane. Matching assembly numbers on the crane and frame. Blued finish on the frame and barrel, having been touched up in places. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled spurred hammer. Checkered wood grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its finishes with some wear and handling marks. Grips have light wear and scratches. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. (B) Smith & Wesson Pre Model 10 K38 double action revolver. Made 1945-48. Company trademark on the right side of the frame in addition to "MADE IN U.S.A.". Top of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD. MASS. U.S.A./PATENTED FEB.06.SEPT.14.09.DEC.29.14". Matching serials on the butt, barrel and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and yolk. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and U-notch cut out rear. Added adjustable rear sight, mounted on the right side of the frame. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled hammer. Aftermarket checkered walnut wood grips with thumb rest on the left panel. Grips are marked "MADE IN ITALY on the inside of each panel. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with areas of wear and handling marks. Grips have finish wear and handling marks. There are a few gouges on the thumb rest. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
