Lot consist of: (A) Colt Officer's Model Heavy Barrel double action revolver. Made 1937. Left side of the barrel is marked "OFFICERS MODEL 38/HEAVY BARREL", in between Maltese crosses. Top of the barrel is marked "COLT's PT F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT U.S.A./PAT'D AUG. 5, 1884. JULY 4,1905. OCT. 5,1926.". Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Trigger guard marked with typical "VP" proof. Matching serials on the frame and crane. Round steel barrel with adjustable blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory blued finished with a polished hammer. Trigger is factory knurled, as is the hammer and cylinder lock. Checkered wood grips with Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean overall with crisp rifling. There is a small ring about 1" in from the muzzle. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. (B) Colt Police Positive Special double action revolver. Made 1928. Left side of the barrel is marked "POLICE/POSITIVE SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F." Top of the barrel is marked ""COLT's PT F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT U.S.A./PAT'D AUG. 5, 1884. JUNE 5. 1900 JULY 4. 1905.". Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Trigger guard marked with typical "VP" proof. Matching serials on the frame and crane. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish with a few areas of cold blue touch up. Trigger is factory knurled, as is the hammer and cylinder lock. Checkered wood grips with Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its finishes light wear and handling marks. Most of the wear is on the cylinder and left side of the barrel. Front sight has a small splotch of red paint on it. Grips are excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is clean with excellent rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good lockup and timing. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
