Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson K22 double action revolver with box. Made late 1930s. "MADE IN U.S.A." on the right side of the frame. Trademark on the left side of the frame. Top of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A./PATENTED FEB.6 06.SEPT.14.09.DEC.29.14". Matching serials on the butt, barrel, and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and yolk. Square butt frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled spurred hammer. Checkered wood grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. Includes a blue Smith & Wesson flat board box marked "17-4", with manual. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with some wear, scratches and handling marks. Grips have a few dings, scratches and dents. Clean bore with very good overall rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Box has edge wear, very good overall. (B) Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman double action revolver. Made circa 1978. Trademark and company address on the right side of the frame. Right side of the barrel is marked ".357/CTG. HIGHWAY/PATROLMAN". Square butt frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Matching serials on the butt and frame. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and adjustable u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Checkered wood target grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with some wear and scratches. There is some minor cleaned pitting on the cylinder. Grips have some handling marks and scratches. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Crisp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
