This rare L.C. Smith has 32" barrels with concave matted rib with single front bead. Rib with small gold bar towards breech. Tops of barrels with "L.C. Smith Field Grade" on right tube, "Hunter Arms Co. Inc. M,F,R,S Fulton, NY U.S.A." on left tube. Barrel flats with proper "CHAMBERS 3 INCHES" marking and bottom of barrel lug with "LONG RANGE" stamped. Replacement splinter forend is near full checkered with banjo release and has bedding compound on the inside. Stock has sharp checking over 1 - 1/2" rubber pad. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. CONDITION: Excellent as restored. Barrels retain about 95% blued finish with a couple of light scratches. Forend is excellent and retains virtually all of an restored finish. Banjo forend opener retains about 95% blue. Action retains about 95% case color, particularly nice on sides, toning on bottom. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. These original 3" long range guns are rare and highly desirable. JTH
