Born into a family of ceramists, Cle´ment Massier took an interest in the business from an early age. In 1883, Massier moved his operations to Golfe-Juan where he began developing his own luster glaze. His factory-gallery complex became a destination for the elite who summered in Monaco, Nice, and Cannes. Circa 1900. Minor roughness to base.
