Circa 1930. A boxlock ejector gun with 30" blacked steel barrels. Dovetail barrels have ejectors, third fastener, Greener styled cross bolt locking mechanism are now fitted with Briley chokes. The barrels rib has special styled filing, concave, tapered and with round front bead sight. Rib reads "DUKEDOM" near breech. Left barrel reads "SPECIAL QUALITY", "FOR SUPER - X 2 3/4" CARTRIDGES". Right barrel reads "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. BIRMINGHAM", "FOR SUPER - X 2 3/4" CARTRIDGES". Bottom rib fitted with stud for sling loop. Short rib in fancy script reads "Champlain Firearms, Enid OK.". Bottom of both barrels read "12", "12 over C in diamond", "2 3/4", "NITRO PROOF", "1 1/4", "T10622", "Westley Richards Steel (along side Pyramid)", and with Birmingham proofs. Barrel flats have muted coin finish and are bare. The case colored boxlock action with double triggers, blacked bottom action, and Greener style cross bolt fastener reads "WESTLEY RICHARDS" in a bar. Water table with serial number and Birmingham proofs. Gun with auto safe and with long checkered safe slide. Blacked top lever with checkered thumb piece. Triggers are protected by a blacked trigger guard extending to a three quarter bottom strap. The reddish brown vintage stock with sharp checkering on its round knob grip is fitted with stud for sling loop, silver oval bearing the intials "BK" is complete with an ebonite checkered butt pad. A matching splinter forend is fitted with a Deeley styled latch release, horn tip, and case colored iron metal. Gun is accompanied by a brown leather case that is kitted up with a set of Briley choke tubes, pair of brass snap caps, round brass oil bottle, cleaning accessories, turn screw, cleaning cloth, and full length brass cleaning rod. Case lid with "Westley Richards" paper trade label on inside and tablet on outer lid. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain nearly all of an early refurbished black. Good bores. Action is tight. Ejectors are good. Triggers are crisp. Stock with some light handling marks. Forend with some handling marks and indentations. Case is good. CP
