Pre-World War II German Mauser ES 350 B bolt action .22 LR sporting rifle. Made mid-1930s in Germany. Left side of the barrel is marked "PATRONE 22 LONG RIFLE". Right side of barrel is patent marked "D.R.P. D.R.G.M.". Left side of the receiver is marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A.N.". Pre-War "BUG" proofs on the receiver, barrel, and bolt. Mauser logo on the crest of the receiver and butt plate. Strong Mauser cartouche on the right side of the stock. No import mark. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. Round steel target barrel with removable front sight blade. This model has the 10" 11mm sight rails on the barrel, but the adjustable and removable rear sight assembly is missing. Checkered trigger guard. Oil finished wood stock with forearm finger grooves, and grip checkering. Mauser marked plastic butt plate is a replacement and is not the correct one for this rifle, as it is too long and extending beyond the stock on both the top and bottom. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retains 80-85% of its original blued finish with light wear, especially on the trigger guard. Bolt release has been polished with no remaining bluing. Light pitting behind the front sight ramp. Butt plate is incorrect for this model and was added later. Adjustable rear sight assembly, and front sling swivel are missing. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. WZ
