Damascus twist barrels with silver front sight and V notch rear sight, silver bands at hooked patent breeches. Left barrel with straight rifling for shot, right barrel with twist rifling for ball. Bolsters engraved with rays. Rib inlaid "TAMBOR IN KLAGENFURT". Ramrod with two reinforced ferrules, second ferrule with sling swivel mounted. Reinforced mouth turned in shape of an urn, with finial. Key fastened barrel with silver escutcheon. Back action locks with scroll engraving and vignettes of dog on left lock and hare on right. Hammers are decorated with scroll en suite. Tang engraved en suite and mounted with a flip up tang sight. Trigger guard equipped with Germanic flowy wood guard. Double triggers, front set. Screwtip urn shaped extension behind trigger guard, possibly filling where swivel was mounted and then moved to current location along toe line. Wrist has small panels of wave pattern checkering. Cheekpiece. Buttplate with long top strap. Patchbox has swollen into place. CONDITION: Good. Barrels with even patina and some lifting of inlay over breeches. Locks are good with legible engraving but softened with some scattered darkness throughout. Wood is good with numerous bumps and bruises with some cracks, chips, and repairs near cheekpiece. Wood has some age related build up throughout. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are very good with visible rifling and some oxidation throughout. Nipples are modern iterations. EW
